The fourth edition of KIOSKO —organized by Tambourine, a platform dedicated to independent editorial practices, ACME, a creative studio and artist space in Madrid, and Vicent Orts, an industrial designer from Valencia— brought together a selection of 34 publications dealing with concepts related to modular design, joinery, the rural world, low-tech, and self-sufficiency. This selection offered a curated journey through a diverse range of perspectives and practices by both independent publishers and self-published artists.
The printed matter exhibition was showcased on a unique display structure designed by Vicent: an adaptable metal joint used to configure modular furniture and a research publication of the collaborative process. This method of joinery and the print publication were the result of a production residency –“Misterioso Objeto”– organized by ACME in Madrid.
